Grover and Nova Wehman-Brown are a couple of queer lovebirds who like making useful things like earrings, gardens, loud potlucks, and now workbooks.

Deciding to move abroad was not a simple decision. After many years of interrupted conversations whispered from the front seat of the family car and late nights researching what could be possible, we created a series of tools to help us discern if staying in the USA or moving to another country was the right choice for us. In February 2025, we pulled all the "levers" our research had unearthed and are building a life with our school-aged children in the Netherlands.

We created the Stay or Go Workbook by transforming those record-keeping, reflection, and decision-making prompts into colorful, user friendly tools that help you hold nuance.

The book’s format uses design, writing, and reflection tools derived from each of their unique professional experiences: Nova Wehman-Brown has worked for thirty years as a UX (User Experience) and product design leader in both the private and public technology sectors. Dr. Grover Wehman-Brown is a a writer, researcher, and narrative strategy professional who spent years working in communications as part of advocacy and justice-seeking non-profit organizations.

Nova and Grover are the co-founders of Strategic Creations, a family-owned design and strategy business that collaborates with organizations and individuals to create the world we need next. They moved from western Massachusetts with their two children, two cats, and fluffy dog named Tater Tot to the Netherlands in 2025.
